The alphabet, one word/2 meanings, & the weather

It's my last email of 2018! And I wanted to ring in the new year with a few Spanish resources for you to finish this year strong! I love this time of the year because it means I get to see a lot of family members I don't usually see. Like my 2 year old nephew! He's very active right now and extremely curious. He loves to just grab everything he sees. But he's also very vocal! He can almost say the whole alphabet perfectly! I thought about him when I saw this short little Spanish reading from Pictoline. Maybe I'll teach him the alphabet in Spanish soon.

For the past few years, my husband and I have followed our "traditions" pretty strictly. Christmas Eve with my parents and Christmas Day with his. But this year we celebrated it differently and with new people. We actually drove a lot more this year and even went to different states this time. This means a lot of time in the car trying to get my husband to practice his Spanish.

We've got a few more places to drive to before the year ends so these are the resources I'll be using with him:

We'll work on weather terms some during our drive using this infograph from ProfeDeELE.

Maybe on our drive back home, we'll work on more vocab and use this cool little graph I found from Lapiz de ele. It's a round up of some pretty common words that can have 2 meanings. Maybe we'll make a game out of it!

Remember you can do A LOT with these pictures! Make vocab lists out of them. Then try writing a story with them. Make conversational questions using these words. Either practice them with a friend or just record yourself saying them out loud!

My motto for resources?? Recycle and repurpose. Always, always, always!

Let me know in the comments below which one you found most useful! So I can keep on the lookout for the things that are most beneficial to you! And I'll make sure to update you on the hubby is coming along with his Spanish.... Happy learning!
