3 Spanish Readings: El amor, la comida, y el bebe

Whoops! A new post on a Sunday?? Well, you see... I dropped the ball. But I'm going to blame it on the fact that last Thursday was Valentine's Day and we were just out celebrating it up! (Even though really we stayed at home and ordered a pizza) Though a few days late, here's another great Spanish resource for you! I've given you 3 short readings PLUS a vocab & grammar list for each reading PLUS discussion questions that you can either answer out loud, do a timed writing, or

Weekly Spanish Resources: Árabe, cuentos infantiles, como aprendí español

Hello everybody! Here is this week's weekly Spanish resources. Remember, the idea is to work with the same resource for 2-3 days changing up how you use it. That way you can hit all types of communication (listening, writing, reading, speaking) and really soak in the new vocab and grammar you're working with. I've give you a couple of ideas below but feel free to get creative. Let me know in the comments below how you used each resource! Just plan for 15-20 minutes daily and

Lenguaje de la Vida - Episode 7 - Metas, pasatiempos, y mi viaje a Guatemala!

This episode is pretty awesome if you're interested at all in traveling... I mean let's be honest... who isn't?? Especially once you get those language skills down, there'll be literally nothing stopping you from hopping on a flight to the land of your dreams. My dream land.... Puerto Rico, always and forever. Why I am so in love with that island?? Hmmm..... another podcast episode for sure! But for now, take some time to relax and listen to my stories from my time in Guatema

Las playas, El nuevo año, Una caminata - Spanish Practice

Let the New Year begiiinnn!! Have you started any of your new goals? My husband's goals are to be more active and to eat more soup (he's a weirdo.) So yesterday we started the New Year by hiking 6 miles and then going over to my parents' to eat some of my mom's homemade soup. And then today, I made a delicious white chicken chili from Ambitious Kitchen. I'd say he started off the new year on the right foot. As for my goals, I don't really have any. I want to have some but I j

The alphabet, one word/2 meanings, & the weather

It's my last email of 2018! And I wanted to ring in the new year with a few Spanish resources for you to finish this year strong! I love this time of the year because it means I get to see a lot of family members I don't usually see. Like my 2 year old nephew! He's very active right now and extremely curious. He loves to just grab everything he sees. But he's also very vocal! He can almost say the whole alphabet perfectly! I thought about him when I saw this short little S

    Que haces cuando...?? Actividad!

Today's resource is all about getting personal and working on the present indicative. I found this infograph with a great list of questions that you can answer either out loud to practice your speaking or through writing. I actually suggest doing both! Maybe writing first and then next week try again just speaking and time yourself for 5-10 minutes and say as much as you can. Orrrr... if you have a friend that you're learning with, these would be great questions to ask each o

Animales picantes en el día de los muertos

Happy Monday! Novemeber is here and with it comes my favorite weather and one of my favorite holidays! I'm sure if you have been learning Spanish for a long time then you have heard of Dia de los Muertos before! A wonderful celebration that takes place in many Latin American countries. I actually never heard about it until I moved to the States. In Venezuela, we don't tend to celebrate it. At least not in the capital which is where I was raised. So, when I became a Spa
