3 Spanish Readings: El amor, la comida, y el bebe

Whoops! A new post on a Sunday?? Well, you see... I dropped the ball. But I'm going to blame it on the fact that last Thursday was Valentine's Day and we were just out celebrating it up! (Even though really we stayed at home and ordered a pizza) Though a few days late, here's another great Spanish resource for you! I've given you 3 short readings PLUS a vocab & grammar list for each reading PLUS discussion questions that you can either answer out loud, do a timed writing, or

Especially once you get those language skills down, there'll be literally nothing stopping you from hopping on a flight to the land of your dreams. My dream land.... Puerto Rico, always and forever. Why I am so in love with that island?? Hmmm..... another podcast episode for sure! But for now, take some time to relax and listen to my stories from my time in Guatema

Las playas, El nuevo año, Una caminata - Spanish Practice

Let the New Year begiiinnn!! Have you started any of your new goals? My husband's goals are to be more active and to eat more soup (he's a weirdo.) So yesterday we started the New Year by hiking 6 miles and then going over to my parents' to eat some of my mom's homemade soup. And then today, I made a delicious white chicken chili from Ambitious Kitchen. I'd say he started off the new year on the right foot. As for my goals, I don't really have any. It's my last email of 2018! And I wanted to ring in the new year with a few Spanish resources for you to finish this year strong! He loves to just grab everything he sees. But he's also very vocal! He can almost say the whole alphabet perfectly! I thought about him when I saw this short little S

Lenguaje de la Vida Ep. 6 - ¡6 consejos para mejorar tu relación!

But there are so many great lessons I've learned about communication, sharing, patience, and acceptance. It's taken me four years and up to the moment that I'm writing this

    45 Good-to-Know Words & Vocab Activity

If you look at Spanish textbooks, there's a certain sequence to them. They all start out with the same topics.... Family, Classes, Sports, Hobbies, so on and so forth. They also all start out with the same grammatical concepts.... Me gusta, AR verbs, numbers, adjectvies, so on and so forth. This sequencing can be very helpful and its success is backed by research. However, it can also be very limiting. The funny thing about language is that it is so unexpected. You can't time

Maybe it’s too soon to talk about this as people are still jumping on the “New Year, New You” train but am I the only one that is absolutely annoyed by other people trying to convince you to better yourself? Everywhere you look you see people telling you to write out your daily goals and to schedule your whole day in 30 minute increments so you can get everything done and become this super efficient robot. Ok, maybe they’re not telling you to do that last one but they’re defi

Educational blogging? Yeah, it's a thing...

I’ll let you mull that over but let’s skip that question. The robots and machines are here so we might as well put them to good use. Now, I will admit apps confuse me. Technically, I’m a millennial and should understand all techy things but somehow I missed that boat. I don’t like them. They take space up in my phone and attempt to d
